If you are unable to connect to the VPN and see the following error message in your connection log:

you need to set routing and remote access services. To do so:
Click Start > Run, type:
services.msc
and then click OK.
The Services list will appear. In the list, find Routing and Remote Access.
Check that the current operation for Routing and Remote Access is stopped. You can stop it by selecting the item and clicking the Stop icon in the top menu bar on the screen.
Double-click Routing and Remote Access. In the ”Routing and Remote Access Properties” menu, set the ”Startup Type” to Manual and click OK to save your changes.
Start ExpressVPN and connect to a server location.
Note: If you are still encountering issues, change your VPN protocol and connect again.
